The year is 2021 and TikTok is bigger than ever. Star influencers like Charli Damelio, Addison Rae, and Bella Poarch are dominating the scene. With over 1 billion users on the app monthly, it appears that nothing could stop the growing platform. That is until the US government decided to intervene… Issues with TikTok’s parent company ByteDance cause the nation to question issues of data breaches while using their beloved app. As an influential TikTok starlet, how will you use your platform to navigate the future of TikTok? Will you ensure the app is taken down for good or will you fight for its right to stay? Its fate is in your hands.

Shaan Sabharwal and Jonah Linker

Shaan Sabharwal is a second year at UVA pursuing the pre-commerce track. His second year chairing VAMUN, he has been competing in Model UN since high school. Shaan is involved in various commerce clubs at UVA as well as the ISA. In his free time he likes to play soccer, fantasy football, and spend time with friends and family. He is looking forward to being a part of the JCC, and excited for a fun, productive committee!

Jonah Linker is a second year computer science and political science major and has been competing in Model UN since high school and has been directing crisis since he first arrived at UVA. Jonah is involved in French Club and Model UN, and is also in Phi Delta Theta at UVA. When not doing homework, Jonah enjoys water skiing, hanging out with his friends, and sitting on the lawn. He can't wait to what everyone brings the JCC, and is excited for some good debate!
