We're excited to have you register for VAMUN XLIV this year! We strive to make registration as easy and convenient as possible. Registering for VAMUN XLIV takes only four steps:
Step One:
Fill out the Registration Form, found here. Please reach out to the Under-Secretary General of Delegations, Saehee Pérez at delegations@vamun.org if you are experiencing any financial constraints––we will do our best to accommodate you and your delegation.
Step Two:
Submit your school registration fee (only for Regular-Registered Schools––Early-Registered Schools do NOT have to submit school registration fees!)
Your registration will NOT be complete without submitting the $70 school registration fee. The $70 school registration fee is NOT refundable. You can pay via check, electronic bank transfer, or Venmo (@IROatUVA) We allow schools to pay the school fee before the delegate fee, which we recommend doing before September 29, 2024. Please make all checks payable to the International Relations Organization at the following address:

Step Three:
We will email you with instructions on Individual Delegate Registration.
If registration is completed prior to the 17th of August, the delegate fee will be $60 per delegate, and the school fee will be waived. On August 17th and every day following, the school fee will be $70 and delegate fee will be $65, which can be paid by check, electronic bank transfer, or venmo. If you plan to pay by check, please make the check payable to the International Relations Organization and sent to the address above. If you plan to do an electronic bank transfer, please contact the Under-Secretary General of Delegations, Saehee Pérez, at delegations@vamun.org, no later than October 25th. If you plan to pay via Venmo, please do so to the Venmo account, @IROatUVA. Please feel free to contact Saehee with any questions or concerns.
The Delegate fee is refundable up until the date of October 1, 2024. Upon that day, and any day after, any fees for delegates that have been dropped must be paid in full.
Once we receive the Delegation Registration payment, the Under-Secretary General of Delegations, Saehee Pérez, will send updates, committee preference forms, committee assignments, and preparatory emails leading up to VAMUN XLIV.
Step Four:
Complete the final check-in on Friday, November 15th.
The location for the registration table will be emailed to all sponsors prior to the start of the conference and updated in the conference schedule.

We must have payment from your school in order to allow participation in VAMUN. This is resolved through two steps:
1. The $70.00 Delegation Registration fee, which is only required for regular registration teams, must be paid by check to the address listed above in Step 2. We highly recommend this check be paid as soon as you register, in order to guarantee participation in VAMUN XLIV.
2. The Individual Delegate fees ($60.00/delegate before August 17th, $65.00/delegate after August 17th) must be paid in full. In order to get the Early Registration school fee waived, payments must be received before or on the date of August 17th. We recommend sending a check 10 business days before July 29th, or if you pay by electronic bank transfer or Venmo, submitting payment 5 business days before July 30th. If you submit payment by electronic bank transfer or Venmo, it must be submitted by October 27th. If you pay via check, the check should be received by November 3rd, so please mail the check in advance accordingly.
Payment is required for participation in VAMUN XLIV. We will not allow participation in VAMUN without payment before the conference. This entails admittance into committee rooms, delegate and sponsor materials, and other delegate and sponsor amenities.
For schools that have not attended VAMUN in the last two years:
The early delegation fee will be $50/delegate and regular fees will be $65 per delegate. There will be no school fees for regular fees.
Registration Timeline (all due at 11:59 PM ET):
April 17th, 2024: Registration form opens.
August 17th, 2024: Deadline for early registration. Schools must fill out the online registration form and must have paid the $60 individual delegate fee. School fees will be waived before this date. Registration will continue on a rolling basis until we have met our maximum capacity of ~1,100 delegates.
September 1, 2024: Committee preference form opens. Schools will be able to request positions and number of spots in each committee. Once committees hit a certain threshold, we will not be able to accommodate all requests.
October 1, 2024: Deadline for any schools to request full refunds.
October 11, 2024: Committee preference form closes.
October 18, 2024: Committee assignments will be sent out. We will prioritize preferences for schools who have paid both the delegate and school fees. *We do not send assignments until we have received payment, unless schools have communicated that they will pay at registration or need an extension.
October 25, 2024: Deadline for any refunds for early registered ($60 per delegate) and regularly registered schools ($65 per delegate and $70 school fee). Any requests thereafter will not be refunded. VAMUN will grant partial (50%) refunds for all requested between October 2nd and October 25th, 2024.
October 25, 2024: Final deadline for registration and for VAMUN to receive all payments.
November 4, 2024: Deadline for individual delegate information. We are required to collect this information for liability purposes.
November 15, 2024: In person check-in on conference weekend.
